Community Guidelines

PLACEHOLDER, REPLACE BEFORE LAUNCH. This is not legal text. It exists so that registration has something to point at during development. Publish a reviewed version 2 of this document in the admin panel before the network is opened to anyone outside the test group.

Community Guidelines

CONVENIRE is a small network of people who know each other, or know somebody who does. These are the rules that keep it that way. They are a plain-language restatement of the Terms of Service, not a separate agreement.

Be who you are. One account, your own real identity behind it, your own photographs. Accounts pretending to be somebody else are removed.

Leave people alone when they ask. Blocking exists and it is not an insult. Following somebody around the network after they have blocked you is harassment.

Nothing here is for children. Everybody on CONVENIRE is 18 or older. Report any account you believe is not, and we will treat it as urgent.

Keep it safe for work. No nudity or sexual content, on profiles or in photos.

Do not sell things. This is not a marketplace and it is not an advertising channel.

Post what is yours to post. If you did not take the photograph and do not have permission, do not upload it.

Testimonials are about the person, not at them. They only appear once the person they are about has approved them, so writing something unpleasant achieves nothing except a report.

Reporting

Every profile, photo and testimonial has a Report link. Tell us what is wrong and a moderator will look. We do not tell you what we decided: it would mean telling you about somebody else's account.

What happens when a rule is broken

Depending on what happened, we may remove the content, suspend the account while we look into it, or ban it permanently. Every one of those decisions is recorded with the reason and the name of the person who made it.
